Ok, So the game was great!

I knew that the Steelers had what it takes to win, and that they probably would win, but I wanted to see Arizona come out and show that they wanted it more! That they earned that spot and deserve to be there.  It was very exciting that’s for sure. The night was full of many great moments that will surely be remembered.

James Harrison intercepted Kurt Warner for 100 yards and ran it all the way back, wow what a play. It was crushing to see it get picked, but I think it really was a bad throw and the athletic ability of Harrison to stay up and in bounds the whole way was impressive.

Fitzgeralds run down the middle as everybody cheered was exciting as it meant renewed hope for the cards.

Ben Roethlisberger passed to Santonio Holmes for the game ending TD was too close I think to give it too him, 1 foot down, the other never proven to be.

Santonio Holmes pays homage to LeBron after his TD and the refs not calling it.

Kurt Warners ruled fumble but possible incomplete pass botched call.

Larry Fitz getting beaten up on the field and somehow that’s ok?

Arizona just couldn’t shake the flags, they had how many penalties vs pitts?

Oh well, great game, horrible calls, and at least I didn’t lose money on it.

Angels and Demons- Kinda didn’t fit at the Super Bowl, but I’m interested and will see it just cause I liked the first one and the theme of the movie.

The Audi chase- Well I can see the concept of progress in car making, with tech and design getting better sure it evolved into what we have today. However true progress would be showing what the company has grown from like the 89 200 Quattro. No point in comparing an 09 car to older supposed lessers many many years ago. Obviously they didn’t have the same power or handling. Instead why not show the other 09′s in the same commercial trying to take those corners and see who does better? They have this campaign about how they have been redesigning and rebuilding and going in a smarter direction, yet it’s compared to others instead of themselves. Love the cars tho.

The new Jack Black movie- I look forward to seeing those two make fools of themselves, I’ll watch it, but spend that much for a spot for a movie that probably won’t make as much as the spot cost?

The Mr. Potatoe heads one- Funny, but I would have used voices the public might recognize and find more annoying.

Fast and Furious 4- Well technically it’s part 3 cause the story takes place before Han dies in Japan, could it be another VD flop like Babylon A.D?

Danica Patrick Go Daddy- I’ve never been of fan of their commercials really, but they all do have women with big boobs, and they get your attention quick, but to be honest had it not been for the boobs, I probably would have never gone to the website and actually research their prices. Funny that they use Danica instead of like Heidi Montag, she would do it for free if it meant getting her in a swimsuit, and she FITS the role.

Pedigree Exotic pets- I like it, good use of the message with animals and action and I know I’ll look into it.

Budweiser Clydesdale and Daisy- Won’t make me buy their crap beer, but it’s about the love story of horse not beer, so wasted money I guess. Good story and points for music/jump over canyon.

Star Trek- Mixed feelings on this one, taking a classic and remaking it with youthful actors to tell the story of how they all met I assume? Zackary Quinto and the dude from Doom are only ones I recognize, but I might see it, just not go to theaters for it which means standing in line.

Cars.com- The David Abernathy one, haha, I liked this one, good content, nice delivery and it will make me try cars.com now more often since I usually use autotrader.

Teleflora- Good ad, I think they really needed this and hope it gets’m going.

Cheetos Pigeons- Funny, I know I’ve been around that before and I’ve wanted to do same, well played, and Cheetos are good anytime!

The Monsters vs Aliens- I’ll watch it cause I like those flicks, but I didn’t have 3-D glasses, I didn’t even know we were going to be needing them. Whoever set up the 3-D idea didn’t factor in reaching ALL the viewers with glasses. Should of had better delivery with those to capitalize on the money, time and effort put into it.

Land of the Lost- Matt Lauer can eat it!

Coca Cola Avatars- Great ad, way to relate with the times, and the content was good, I’m just not sure on the message it sent though. The “Open Happiness” slogan is kind of bunk, they could have used their old one still here “The Real Thing”

Bridgestone Stolen Tires- Ahh nothing like capitalizing on getting ganked! Will admit though, the music definitely got my attention and made me look.

Denny’s Mobsters- Freaking awesome, makes me want to go now just thinking about it.

Monster.com Moose- Amazing ad, good delivery, solid message cause it’s so simple. Monster always delivers.

Transformers 2- Hell yeah I’ll see it, I knew before it was going to hit 3rd a quarter from Micheal Bays blog.

Careerbuilder It’s probably time- I see the logic behind repeating it as it sinks in, but seriously that was hilarious. The koala punch, the “HEY DUMMY” omg too funny!

Hyundai- They are kicking ass! I think they finally are dialed in to making great cars, excellent price point, and stellar warranty.

Cash 4 Gold- Could have used more actors, but the 2 and symbolically how they have tons of OLD gold laying around fits just right, about time they got better actors than what they were using before.

So overall my faves would be Monster moose, Careerbuilder about time and coca cola avatar!

So Michael Phelps is in hot water again as this time he’s caught on camera hitting a bong. Everybody says that he’s embarrasing himself, I say “to who”. The guy is a swimmer, I mean come on. So he’s good, and he wins medals in the Olympics, that’s great, but do I really care about what the guy does on his own time? Not really. Then there are those that say “well he’s a role model and has to be perfect” yeah that may be, but he’s not a machine, he’s  just a a human kid. He’s going to live, and make mistakes, and kiss girls, and drink, and smoke, and have sex and gamble. That’s what we do!

Of course his publicist will make statements for him like, “I’m sorry, my bad, won’t happen again” but come on we all know he was probably thinking more like, damn they caught me slippin. If your famous, rich, popular there is no way you can have a normal life which means zero privacy. Your always going to have your life on display, and this dude knows that. So should he have been more careful, yeah sure probably, but he was at a college campus party, like this isn’t normal or what?

So chances are he’s going to lose a few sponsors but he’s the bad guy for being normal and making personal choices that are considered wrong by other peoples standards who don’t matter since they don’t pay his bills but life goes on. At least it wasn’t a drug like crack or heroin. It’s just a normal plant that comes from a seed and grown in the ground, good think he’s only tested during competitions. It’s his biggest news yet since his latest nite out with Aussie Swimmer Stephanie Rice shown below. If I ever make it to Brisbane you know where to find me.

Ok, so it’s been a while since I last blogged, but I’ve been a little busy, so I’ll try to catch up some today. I’m not going to catch up in any particular order, I’ll just toss out posts on what I remember.

For starters I want to say that it was a good fight. I just think that BJ got worked. Come on, he bounces around weight classes which to me might seem a bit tougher to master one particular weight class. I assume a fighter picks that weight because it best compliments his body size and gives the most room for muscle mass and overall conditioning. GSP just looked in better shape, faster and stronger.  He never stopped putting the pressure on BJ and constantly passed his guard, 8 times total. BJ’s corner knew they wanted to take it to the ground to avoid the standup and leg kicks of GSP but like I had predicted, the just took on too much damage from GSP. We also know the judges had scored the first four rounds 40-35, 40-34, 40-34 for the Canadian anyway. Also, Penn did not attend the post-fight news conference. “He got beat up, so we sent him to hospital,” said UFC president Dana White.

Then we go to the current hot topic with GSP’s corner “greasing him up” according to Penn’s crew. A formal complaint with the Nevada State Athletic Commission over Vaseline that was allegedly rubbed on Georges St. Pierre’s back between rounds one and two has been made by Penn.  It was drafted by his family lawyers when on Sunday evening back home he had a change of heart and decided not to after all. Dana White, and everybody watching the fight knows that the comissioners were at the corner taking away the vaseline as well as scolding them after every round for still using and watching like a hawk for foul play. Even with all the vaseline in the world, GSP still was too much for BJ. Did it make him win, prob not, that was skill, but it was still wrong and the guy applying it should be punished. I can’t say 100% whether GSP knew, I mean the guy is in the zone fighting like an animal trying to survive/destroy another man, I wouldn’t pay attention to anything other than just breathing!

Ok, in this pic above, the cornerman is obviously applying vaseline to the face, but also if you watch extra close to his left hand he does a little move with his thumb that gets the vaseline from either his palm or residue and applies it to his traps and chest, clearly not allowed. When he applied the water, sure it helped, but I think it was a plan, he’s probably just thirsty and hot from fighting and it’s how he cools off.

Here again, there is more applying to the traps and now the back. This was claimed to be massaging and a ritual technique that GSP personally wanted done between rounds for lining up his energy. When the comish called him out, he did admit to it, so it was then wiped off and didn’t affect the fight that round.

In the end all we have is the losing team pointing out all these fine details, we don’t see BJ’s corner being exploited nor what they did between rounds. Had it gone the other way in the end, we might have this story flipped. Doesn’t matter, the better fighter won in my opinion. All BJ said was that he noticed it was hard to land stuff on GSP cause he seemed slippery, and his legs couldn’t lock on at his shoulders and that he would slip out of holds. Just fire the cornerman, and have a rematch if you want, and it will probably be GSP winning again, I’ll watch it again. I knew GSP was going to win anyway.

Saturday Hou was at UA and the final score was 96 to 90 UA taking it home. However that wasn’t the highlight. Lately there have been some talks and posts how because of Houston’s Aubrey Coleman getting ejected for a flagrant foul after stepping on Chase Budinger’s face which I believe from the footage shows to have happened because of Coleman being called with a charge with 9:51 left in the second half that now all of us in Houston are jerks. Look seriously, chill out. One man’s actions can’t rep a whole city, even more the team, or school. It was a game and it happened and it’s over. Now I will admit that he had to have seen him laying on the ground, otherwise he wouldn’t have lifted his leg high enough to clear his face, why would he lift it that high if he didn’t know there was something to clear cause he should have tripped instead of stomping.

Afterwards, it wasn’t apologetic, but rather smiling and laughing while he gets high fives on his way out after the ejection. Furthermore the coach not admitting to the act and trying to cover it up? As a leader he should have taken responsibility and said that the school would be making a formal apology and taking disciplinary action on that student, perhaps a suspension of a game or something idk. I remember playing sports and the worst thing I did was throw a accidental facemask that wasn’t hard or anything, but it wasn’t called. I knew and felt I had gotten away with it, but it wasn’t my fault it was the ref’s, and in football the action is soo fast I figured nobody saw it, but here the whole nation could see it. So I’m from Houston, and I’m saying, blame a player, not the city that he lives in.

If you remember Christian Laettner did the same thing to Timberlake later admitting he was wrong and did it out of frustration and go get him back for what he had done to him physically earlier.

Well they lost the game in the end, but that was a bad move on his part, kinda like the time Luis Vasquez at about 2am stomped on Gus in the living room after I had specifically told him not to trample on him. All you could hear was the “UGH” sound poor Gus made. It was EPIC!

Well I didn’t see it yesterday so I wanted to catch it today, and only place I could find it of course cause of Youtubes rules was directly on the MMAblogspot of Affliction. Otherwise, idk, i think that Fedor looked sloppy and hit the glass chin just right perhaps, but I can say I would like to see Lesnar vs Fedor just cause they are both big monsters. When I think UFC though, I come to expect a certain level of fighting, or quality of fighting that is just more than standup game. I like to see grappling, ground game, good striking, and of course submissions. That’s the whole point of MMA, mixed martial arts. However if your only standing up and boxing, then why don’t you just stay in boxing? Yes it’s a sport, like a organization or league however it’s still an entertainment industry that has to deliver and I come to expect a certain level of professionalism and showmanship. I look forward to his next fight, just hope he delivers more MMA with who ever he fights, and that goes for Lesnar as well.

I really like the whole movie, though I’ll admit the first half was really good, it turned out fine. The way they did the scenes with flashbacks was cool using 3 sets of actors to show their lives and how they got older. It was an experience to see visually what it’s like in Mumbay from the point of view of children. I can see now why it won 4 Golden Globes

So I’ll probably get this from now on. Try it if you want a good strong drink, just make sure the bartender named “Twin” makes it.

So the kids over at CNN are going to go WAAA over the fact that he’s not wearing his jacket? Which WAS a rule that Bush had put into place. This is soo small and petty seriously. As some say he has one of the toughest jobs on the planet and has to get to work on fixing all the chaos from the last 8 years so could see how he might want to take off the jacket. After all I have worn one many times and it’s hot and constricting. It’s not like he can’t do what he wants, I mean it’s clothes. If it were me i’d go in there in shorts and a t-shirt if i knew I was just going to be reading stuff and having no visitors. I’m sure he has a wardrobe somewhere in that massive room, or a closet. What I never got was how come he doesn’t get a computer or a laptop? Even the president is entitled to waste the day on youtube!

Seriously bitchin about rules set by the same guy that failed during Katrina, lied about Iraq, and drove us into the ground with our massive economic fail?

This is a short by Kurt Kuenne starring Bones’ TJ Thyne as Hugh Newman in a fable about the magic of free parking! It’s the feel good kind to inspire and most of all, make you smile. TJ is pretty versatile and has played many different roles and I swear he looks like a mini Gene Wilder. Enjoy!

For me aside from the speech my favorite part was the music,  Air and Simple Gifts by John Williams whom most of you know him from Jaws, Star Wars, ET, and Schindler’s List which he scored. And then being played by Yo-Yo Ma who took the cello part of course, and Itzhak Perlman on violin,  Anthony McGill played the clarinet and piano was Gabriela Montero from Venezuela. As most of you know Yo-Yo Ma and Perlman have joined numerous times before both of them being freaking amazing! Not to mention the stories of their instruments and history with presidents. It was really a treat.

Well his speech was good, I know I couldn’t have memorized something that lengthy. He imo straight up punked George W with that glance to the left in his direction as he let him and the nation have it stating that some people have screwed up, but we’ll fix it! Lol. George probably mumbled, “why you gotta throw me under the bus b?”

Actually, he says: That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood.  Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred.  Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Well he did mention a lot of issues that need attention and I hope he actually does something about them. I was looking at his website and he has massive plans for a lot of different areas where our nation is currently hemorrhaging.I like his Change.gov open government your seat at the table plan and hope it really sticks, after all it is “we the people”. It’s not like we are spying on them, technically they are OUR employees doing what’s best for us right? Well at least it should be anyway. They are already getting paid phat, why can’t we look into where our money is going? We already pay to have our privacy invaded, so we should return the favor!!

Omg and please do something about raising of the presidents salary to $400k from $200k just so that the House can take a larger salary since they can’t make more than him! Those sneaky little buggers! But of course we all think as they say, “oh it’s cause the cost of living has gone up” dude! he doesn’t get paid! he gets anything he wants, then when he’s done does he get his millions, not to mention still getting paid to give speeches afterwards and still all the security and perks.

It was amazing, I almost crashed cause I couldn’t take my eyes off of it. These pics really don’t do it justice, you have to see it in person to appreciate it’s curves. I’m going with Philly here, McNabb has been in tons of championship games like Montana, Staubach, Elway and Bradshaw and we all know they made it to the Hall of Fame. He just needs to play smart and limit the interceptions. They need to control James and keep Fitz on lockdown while keeping the pressure on Warner.

ok, well looks like McNabb got to a rocky start and is not in the zone yet, and neither team really is going to i think get anything going with the running game. Seems to be a aerial shootout and Warner is on fire. Fitzgerald is an animal! 3 TD’s so far, and the Arizona offensive coordinator is dialed in and calling great plays mixing it up very well.  The cheap shot on Warner is a sign of frustration by Philly. Arizona came to play and win, so if the Eagles don’t get something going on offense then this is going to get away from them and Arizona WILL take it home. To be honest, if Arizona takes it, I wouldn’t be surprised, they are just playing alot better and proving that they really want it more.

Well out of the locker room the Eagles came out and answered back to put some points on the board. McNabb made some good throws and connected with Brent Celek a few times for some big plays and 2 TD’s.  Then Warners final drive sealed the deal with a TD and 2point conversion. Then it was just a matter of running out the clock. It was a great game!

I like the Steelers since they have a QB with Super Bowl experience and Baltimore hasn’t seen a week off in over 18 weeks. So the Steelers are rested and have dialed in the defense right where they want it. I have a feeling Flaco is going to get ruffed up.

It’s his first time as writer/director.

So i used to go to the movies on Spencer & Burke in Pasadena. Anybody that lived in Pasadena knows that was the place to go, funny i think back in the day it only had like 4 screens, it was loud, dirty floors, crappy seating, horrible sound, but that’s only compared to today’s standards. Back then it was awesome, the hangout spot, we had a lackluster selection of candy and food but it was more than enough then. Funny how back then we had soo much yet today it’s somehow not enough. Not to mention the movies being wayy cheaper then. But i used to play this game alot before the movie was going to start. But i’d get soo pissed when i would die so fast, it was a tough game!

i came across this video, i look forward to seeing this movie,

just hope the kids today remember where it came from or even know the book.

i’ll probably go see this when it comes out. supposedly Oct. 19, 2009

I saw this, and since i don’t have a dog to walk, i often wonder how do dogwalkers when out say at the park or the street give their dogs water?

If I had a dog, i guess this would be a cool way to do it. Its on the leash so nothing to carry around, and I think you throw it away when done, or fold up and take bath with you on the leash. Oh and it’s also for food too, not to mention recyclable.
